Urgent Relief for Cebu & Philippine Communities

Thank you again for your continued support. We wanted to share a quick update on our upcoming fundraising events for communities affected by the recent typhoons in the Philippines.

On December 14, we are hosting a fundraising benefit in collaboration with Blend Theory at Tita Marrickville.

DJ sets will run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and we will have raffles, giveaways, and multiple ways to donate. Entry is pay-what-you-can, and all ticket donations go directly to fundraising efforts for the Philippines. Portions of vendor sales on the day will also contribute to the cause.

On December 21, we will be hosting a second fundraising benefit with matcha collagen giveaways, free coffee from 11 AM to 12 PM, and DJ sets from 11 AM to 5 PM. Our lineup features Filipino artists and friends who proudly represent our culture here through music and creative expression.

These events are about bringing the community together in solidarity, celebrating culture, and turning shared moments into real support for families still rebuilding. We are deeply grateful for every donation, share, and show of support.

With thanks and appreciation,
Joe and Pat

In the past months, communities across the Philippines, especially Cebu and nearby regions, have been hit hard by back-to-back disasters, including damaging typhoons and widespread flooding. Many families are still recovering, facing power outages, water shortages, destroyed homes, and ongoing displacement.

We’re coming together here in Sydney to support trusted, on-the-ground organisations actively responding to the crisis.

Your donations will go directly to:

Australian Partner Charities

Convoy of Hope Australia - delivering food, shelter materials, hygiene kits, and disaster response support.
Convoy of Hope began operating in the Philippines in 2003 based on strong partnerships that existed on the ground and our numerous responses to disasters in the region. Since the Philippines is a country that experiences frequent natural disasters and hosts a high rate of undernourishment and malnutrition, Convoy of Hope continues to have a presence there today.

Local Filipino Partners
CHTM Cares - UCLM
College of Hospitality and Tourism Management
Community Awareness, Relations and Extension Services
University of Cebu Lapu Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM)
We have partnered with a local team on the ground in Cebu consisting of students from UCLM who carry out logistics and operations of donation drives to provide essential materials to those who need it the most within the community.

Other Filipino Charities
Please do not hesitate to donate directly to these channels.

Angat Buhay PH
A non-profit focused on community development and disaster response, working directly with affected families across the Philippines.

Philippine Red Cross
One of the country’s most trusted humanitarian organisations, providing emergency relief, medical support, rescue operations, and long-term recovery programs.

Concerned Artists of the Philippines – Cebu Chapter
A local arts-and-advocacy group whose immediate disaster response includes the #AlibyoCommunityKitchen, serving hot meals and essential support to displaced and affected communities in Cebu.

Who we are

My name is Joseph, a Filipino-Australian born and raised in Sydney. My family is spread across Mindanao, the Visayas and the Capital Region, and seeing the devastation from the recent typhoons hit incredibly close to home. I’m raising funds to support families in rebuilding their homes, livelihoods and hope.

I'm joined by Pat, a Filipino-born resident committed to raising awareness and support for the communities affected by the recent disasters in the Philippines. He grew up in Quezon City, and works at Australia for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

We will maintain full transparency and share updates on funds raised, distributions, and impact.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps restore safety, dignity, and hope to communities still recovering.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and solidarity. ❤️
