URGENT: Kris’ Mandatory Dental Procedure

Hi, my name is Kris Moreno. I’m a trans person of color that recently graduated from college and is seeking financial support for an upcoming dental procedure. I’ve been needing dental work for a few years, but with school, work, and navigating the healthcare system, it was a daunting task on top of everything else. In May, a small piece of one of my molars broke off and it has slowly continued to break off, leaving a big hole in the middle of my tooth. About two weeks ago, I started to feel pain in this tooth, and after going to the dentist for this, I was told my best option would be to get a tooth implant as soon as possible to make sure I don’t cause further damage to my other teeth. The dentist also said that a different tooth needs a crown urgently, both procedures totaling $4,000. My insurance won’t cover any of the costs, and my only other option is to go through a financing company. With my student loan payments coming up, I’d really like to have my dental costs completed before I take on another bill. Throughout all of this, I have been working full-time to save up money to move back to LA while paying rent in Santa Cruz.
