Urgent Help For The Reyes Viera Family

Hi, my name is Kirsty and I’m fundraising on behalf of the lovely Reyes Viera Family, Ricardo, Carla, Sara and little Martin.

On Saturday at lunchtime their entire kitchen burned down and their home is now inhabitable. They’ve been forced to move out and the family have been told it could take up to four months before they can move back in. They left the house with just some clothing and whatever precious items they could gather in a hurry. None of their home contents were insured and they have months of financial difficulty ahead of them finding temporary accommodation and replacing everything they’ve lost in the fire. The soot from the fire has spread throughout the entire flat and damaged every area of their home.

Currently they are paying an extortionate amount of money, which is just not sustainable, to stay in hotels and have been forced to stay outside of Raynes Park because of the cost accommodation in the area. They will be staying with friends this coming weekend outside of London and after that they don’t know where they’ll be situated. They are living our worst nightmare as parents and I can’t even imagine how upsetting this must be for them. Without fixed accommodation and constantly moving about it is very unsettling for everyone involved. They’re doing their very best to keep Martin and Sara reassured and doing everything they can to ease their anxiety.

Carla and Ricardo are much loved members of the school and local community and have contributed so much of their time to helping at school with events etc. Whenever volunteers are needed, Carla and Ricardo never hesitate to help. Sara is in year 6 and little Martin is only 5 and is currently in reception.

Carla is a nanny and will be increasing her hours as much as she can to get the family through this. So is Ricardo who is an excellent electrician.

Any donation, no matter how big or small will go a long way.

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family will know what good people they are and how deserving they are of our help.

Let’s pull together as a community and get them back on their feet during this devastating time. They’re going to need a lot of help to piece their lives back together.
