Urgent Help for Lisa Herrington and Grandchildren

I’m asking that you join me in supporting this GoFundMe for a local family in our community.

Lisa Herrington, who lives in Effingham, Illinois, has been raising her four grandchildren for several years. She tirelessly ensures that all their medical, educational, and mental health needs are met, often putting them before her own. Lisa herself faces multiple medical challenges, including diabetes, chronic pain issues, stabilization and walking issues and the need for an outpatient eye surgery. As of tomorrow, Lisa may have to reschedule this much-needed surgery for the fifth time because she prioritizes her grandchildren.

Despite many obstacles, Lisa is the last person to ask for help. She has finally allowed me to reach out to the community for assistance. Over the past few months, she has sought resources from various community agencies and used available funds wisely. I've seen her extreme couponing and making every dollar count, but her family is in desperate need right now. I assure you, any funds raised will be used responsibly and will not go to waste.

Recently, Lisa's home suffered a severe sewage issue, forcing the family to seek safe shelter elsewhere until repairs are completed. The damage is extensive, and they are currently staying in a hotel. Lisa needs funds to cover repair costs beyond what her insurance covers, pay her deductible, and keep her family safe in the hotel. Although her insurance will cover some hotel days, it will not cover her current need to stay in a hotel.
