Hi, My name is Brett. Due to a back injury I was unable to work in my field and became homeless about 4 months ago. In this time I have been living in my vehicle. It’s been extremely hard as my 8 year old Great Dane has been living with me and it’s been a huge change from the comfortable life that we both used to know. Despite the hardship, I have pressed on with the situation and have endeavored to get us out this situation. My diagnosis for my back was a slipped disc and 3 bulging discs. I was lucky enough to get a referral from my doctor for some discounted physiotherapy and got a back brace.about a month ago I managed to get back to work again and managed to find a place to live and was about to move in when my vehicle/ home died on me. After the diagnosis from the diesel mechanic, it turns out that the damage is severe and the cost to repair it would be about $2500.00. So not being able to get to work ended up in me losing my job and rehoming my Beautiful dog of 8 years. I am sleeping rough now as my vehchile is at the mechanics and won’t touch it until I have the funds to pay him.I have no family or support here and been fighting to keep sane due to my situation.My vehicle is everything to me as I am a tradesman who needs a vehicle for work and I also need it for shelter. Having it back up and running would enable to get back to work, save and find a place to live and the wonderful family that offered to take my dog in would gladly give my dog back when I am back on my feet. I am ashamed to ask any of you for help, but I have never been in a situation like this before so it has taken a lot for me to write this. I really would appreciate any donation anyone could make.
