Urgent Care for Cali: My Sweet Girl

Hi, I’m normally not the type of person to do this, but I’m in a position where I really don’t know what else to do. My sweet Cali is not doing well. I had to rush her to the emergency vet this morning because she’s unable to walk or stand without falling over. She’s not drinking or eating. She can’t go to the bathroom on her own. Bloodwork and X-rays came back good, so the vet is thinking it’s vestibular disease. And if that’s the case, it can clear on its own but could take weeks, which means weeks of all-around care for Cali. If she doesn’t improve or worsens, then it could point towards neurological issues, which I am not ready to face. If you know me at all, you know how much this is absolutely destroying me. I adopted Cali when she was 2 years old, and now she’s 13. She’s not just my pet; she’s my world. I don’t think I’d be where I am today without her. She has been by my side through so many traumatic events that I’ve had to go through, and I’d like to think a big reason why I kept going was for her. I’ve done everything in my power to make sure she’s lived a happy and fulfilled life, and I really do believe she’s done just that. I also believe she has so much more to live, and I’m praying so hard for her to come out of this. I’ve used everything I possibly can to pay for her medical care so far, and I don’t regret it because she’s worth it. It’s just Cali and I living together. I don’t have family nearby that can help me care for her, so it will be me doing it alone. On top of that, I still have to work to be able to keep myself afloat financially. I’m just asking for any help at all, even if it’s $1. Or even if you just read all of this and want to share it. It would mean the world to Cali and me.
