Help Us Adopt Our Daughter

Almost 22 years ago my husband and I became the parents to a beautiful baby girl. Because of our financial situation at the time, we voluntarily relinquished her for adoption, assuming she would be given a better life than we could give her. Just before her 17th birthday, her adoptive parents returned her to us, after I was able to convince them not to send her to another group home. Because of the abuse she experienced at the hands of her adoptive parents, she now wishes to also be legally returned to us through an adult adoption. This will ensure that her adoptive family is unable to legally interfere with any part of her life, make any decisions on her behalf should she become incapacitated, and that we will be able to provide her with all the legal benefits that come with being our legal child for which she is not already entitled to, despite being our natural child. Most importantly, access to health insurance. We would prefer to have her adoption annulled, but may need to go the route of another adoption to achieve this. All donated funds that we receive will be used to retain an attorney and pay legal costs in regard to this, as well as any fees that may be incurred for her to get her original birth certificate as a keepsake should we need to go the route of adoption.
