United Against Hate in Almonte

Donation protected
**Almonte and the community has really stepped up. We raised over $1000 in only a few short hours. We will be turning off donations now. Thank you so much! **We have purchased a number of flags today and will be distributing flags starting tomorrow. We will be placing bulk orders for more flags as well soon. **Thanks to House of Flags and World of Maps for offering generous discounts on our purchases today. Dear Friends As you may have heard, on June 22, 2020, the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum's PRIDE Flag was stolen and destroyed. The person(s) involved used tools to remove the flag and pole. The flag was torn and left in Gemmill Park. Almonte is known as the friendly town, and we are united to help each other on a daily basis. There is no room for hate in our beautiful community. Let's band together to raise funds to replace the museum's Pride Flag to show everyone that hate crimes should not be tolerated. Once we replace the museum's flag, any overflow in donations will go towards providing businesses and individuals in Almonte with Pride Flags to hang year-round. If you are a business or individual that is interested in displaying a Pride Flag, please contact me directly through GoFundMe. We definitely hope that we will be able to fulfill your request. Thank you for sharing within your community. Together we can defeat hate and prejudice. Photo of the stolen and destroyed flag in Gemmill Park, Almonte
