Unite Pinas #forphcovidfrontliners is a series of live stream fundraising events via Facebook or Instagram starting the weekend of April 18, 2020 collaborating with various artists and talents. Follow @unitepinas on Instagram and Facebook for the schedule of performances.
Our home, the Philippines, has been struck hard by this crisis. This is our way of acting and uniting likeminded people in our community to directly help our frontliners from the comfort of our quarantine homes.
Think of it as a channel with the most diverse and exciting programming of Filipino and other international artists & talents for a good cause.
WHERE WILL THE FUNDS GO?
Access to public transportation is limited in the Philippines right now due to travel restrictions. Access to food is also limited as stores and restaurants are closed. Cities have shut down but our frontliners continue to go to work around the clock in overwhelmed hospitals. With your donations, you will be helping our frontliners, our heroes during this crisis by providing food during their shifts.
The first 50k Pesos we are planning to raise will go towards food for our frontliners of three major hospitals serving Covid-19 patients – Rizal Medical Center, Capitol Medical Center and University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center. We will also make it our priority to source the food from small businesses whose businesses have been impacted by the quarantine.
All donations will go towards food for 300 frontliners across these 3 hospitals. Our suggested donation is ₱600/$10, equaling to 8 meals. We value transparency in this process and will make it our priority to always inform our donors where the donation goes.
