I am Fares Khader, a Palestinian from Gaaaza with Spanish nationality. Like any young person, I have dreams and aspirations for a better life, not only for myself but also for my family. However, I have suffered every day of my life under the shadow of occupation since I can remember. But since October 7, 2023, the most devastating moments have occurred. I am a spectator to the situation while my family continues to reside in the north of Gaaza, unable to travel, with barely any electricity, water, or food.

Every day is a battle for survival, with the constant threat of tanks and bombings. Despite my efforts and the help I have received, it has become clear that providing for my family is an insurmountable challenge. My family is in desperate need of support, and time is crucial. In this nightmare, I have lost a third of my family.

On the first day, I lost my brother Bahaa, a brave health worker who was killed in an ambulance bombed by the occupying army while transporting the wounded from the initial attacks. 15 days later, on October 24, I suffered the loss of my sister Reham, who was pregnant, along with her husband and 7 of my nephews, in the same house where my other brother Mohammed miraculously saved his life along with my nephew by going out to buy bread; unfortunately, his wife also died in that attack.

My sister Wisam is also in the north of Gaaaza; she has colon cancer and before October 7, she had just had surgery. All medical appointments and treatments have been suspended. All of this is difficult for my parents Shahda Khader and Yousra Radwan, Pa lestinians who have never left Gaaaza.

This forced displacement has destroyed our heritage, including our homes, including my own apartment in a family building; we have lost everything. Raising funds is my only alternative, with the goal of evacuating 33 members of my family to Eeegypt and then to Spain, where they could find safety and stability.

El único Rayo de mi Familia.

Soy Fares Khader, Pa lestino de Gaaaza con nacionalidad española, como cualquier joven tengo sueños y aspiraciones de una vida mejor, no solo para mí, sino también para mi familia. Sin embargo he sufrido todos los días de mi vida bajo la sombra de la ocupación desde que tengo uso de razón, pero a partir del 7 de octubre del 2023 han ocurrido los momentos más devastadores, yo como espectador y para familia que sigue residiendo en el norte de Gaaaza y sin posibilidad de moverse, sin apenas electricidad, agua o comida.

Cada día es una batalla por la supervivencia, con la constante amenaza de tanques y bombardeos. A pesar de mis esfuerzos y la ayuda que he recibido, ha quedado claro que el sustento de mi familia representa un desafío insuperable. Mi familia está en una necesidad desesperada de apoyo, y el tiempo es crucial. En esta pesadilla he perdido a un tercio de mi familia.

El primer día perdí a mi hermano Bahaa, un valiente auxiliar sanitario, fue asesinado en una ambulancia bombardeada por el ejército de ocupación mientras transportaba a los heridos de los primeros ataques. 15 días después el 24 de octubre, sufrí de la pérdida de mi hermana Reham quien se encontraba embarazada fue asesinada en bombardeo, junto a su esposo y 7 de mis sobrinos, en la misma casa se encontraba mi otro hermano Mohammed quien milagrosamente salvó su vida junto a mi sobrino al salir a comprar el pan, lamentablemente su esposa también murió también en ese ataque.

Mi hermana Wisam también se encuentra en Norte de Gaaaza tiene cáncer de colon y antes del 7 de octubre estaba recién operada, se han suspendido toda revisión médica y sus tratamientos. Todo esto es difícil de llevar para mis padres Shahda Khader y Yousra Radwan de 70 y 68, Pa lestinos que nunca han salido Gaaaza. Este desplazamiento forzado ha destruido nuestro patrimonio, destruyendo nuestros hogares, incluido mi propio apartamento en un edificio familiar, lo hemos perdido todo.

Recaudar fondos es mi única alternativa, con el objetivo de evacuar a 33 miembros de mi familia a E gipto y después a España, donde podrían encontrar seguridad y estabilidad. Su contribución, por pequeña que sea, no solo salvará vidas, también devolverá la dignidad y la esperanza a mi familia.
