The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major effect on everyone in our city and beyond. We know that physical distancing, isolating and in some cases, quarantine, are necessary and will slow the curve of the virus within our communities. In an effort to support those most at risk, the urban element has been and will continue to prepare nourishing meals for the people within our city who are most marginalized, vulnerable and in desperate need. Working in alliance with Ottawa Community Food Partnership, Food Rescue and Parkdale Food Centre, we will get the meals to where they are most urgently needed. Please help if you can. Your donation will have an immediate impact to those who need it most. Your donation will allow us to keep cooking for them.  

Funds raised will help offset urban element's costs of ingredients, packaging, and some of our fixed operating expenses to help to continue this initiative in our kitchen. Our goal is to prepare and provide on average 1875 meals per month to be distributed to our neighbours in need, immediately, and as necessary.
