Ella's Marathon for UK Uyghur Community

Hello all,

I am running the Paris Marathon 2nd April 2023 and will be raising money for UK Uyghur Community. I have been working on awareness-raising about the Uyghur Genocide with Foundation for Uyghur Freedom and I am raising funds for UK Uyghur Community who support the Uyghur Community within the UK.

The charity aims to raise awareness of the Uyghur Genocide and Uyghur oppression, support Uyghur asylum seekers and refugees in the UK whilst also protecting Uyghur identity and heritage which is currently being destroyed under the Genocide. All money raised will go to UK Uyghur Community and will be used to secure a permanent facility for a Uyghur school in the UK which provides an inclusive space for teaching young people Uyghur heritage as well as raising awareness about the Uyghur Genocide in East Turkestan being committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It is crucial that people are informed about the Uyghur Genocide and understand the situation that Uyghur people face every day. The brutal Genocide of the Uyghurs attempts to destroy Uyghur identity, assimilate the Uyghur people, take over the Uyghur region, and erase the Uyghur people entirely. This cannot happen. It is down to us, as individuals, to work together to raise awareness and support Uyghurs everywhere to prevent this cruel regime from continuing their Genocide against the Uyghurs.
