UGANDA BOY FUNDRAISER

Hi everyone. Uganda Boy here.
Some of you may remember that last year we got together to send a year’s supply of baby formula to a home for abandoned babies in Africa. More than 100 people donated $1,000 and 450 pounds of formula and I delivered it to the baby house on my birthday last summer. I’m a senior at Northwest High School in Jefferson County, Missouri and my real name is Luke Rauch. I got the nickname “Uganda Boy” last year and I’m running with it.
Huge thank you to Dr. Kirchhofer, Principal Snell, guidance, librarians, Mr. Wood and Lion Crew, Northwest students and everyone in the community for being so supportive and making last year a success. We got over 20,000 views on Facebook, and the enthusiasm and support meant the world to the house moms in Uganda.
The baby house is such an amazing place; full of life and hope, full of rescued babies that were left to die at the dump or in the woods, that need extra care; a place that gives love, health, and a future to these littlest orphans, in a nation that has so little that really needs our help.
My flight was booked and I was ready to go again, right after graduation, but the trip got shut down (just like everything else) because of COVID-19. A lot of Americans are on the ropes and orphan babies in Uganda still need to eat. If everybody chips in a little, I’m sure we can provide another year’s supply of formula, so let’s find a way to do this together. . .even while we are apart.
Every penny donated to this UGANDA BOY fundraiser will go to the baby house for food, clothes, diapers, and supplies. This drive runs from now to the last day of school (May 22, 2020). Let’s show the world that even during a pandemic, we still care!
