Help a Single Mom and Her Kids Start Fresh After Being Abandoned

Hey everyone,

I never thought I’d be in a place where I’d have to ask for help like this, but after everything my kids and I have been through, I find myself at a point where I don’t have much of a choice. A little over a year ago, my husband of nearly 14 years walked out on our family without a word of explanation. He left behind me—his wife—and our two beautiful children, who I had stayed home to homeschool and care for.

Since that day, everything in my life has been turned upside down. I lost not just my partner, but my sense of stability, my home, and any kind of financial security. Because I had dedicated so much of my time to caring for the kids, I didn’t have a job when he left, and for months there was no communication from him. I had to figure out how to survive on my own, without any support.

After months of uncertainty and heartache, I made the hardest decision of my life and filed for divorce. It wasn’t easy, and it felt like a loss in so many ways, but I knew I had to do it to ensure a better future for my children. The divorce has been a long, painful process—especially with my ex dragging his feet at every turn. But two weeks ago, I finally received the final divorce papers.

Now, my kids and I are trying to start fresh. We’re moving to another state to live with my parents while I save up for a place of our own. It’s a huge step forward, but it’s also incredibly overwhelming. We have just one month to prepare, and I’m facing significant moving expenses, along with the remaining legal fees from the divorce.

I’m walking away from this marriage with basically nothing—no savings, no home, and no sense of financial security. I’ve tried my best to handle things on my own, but it’s become clear that I can’t do this alone. That’s why I’m reaching out for help.

The funds raised will go directly toward:
