Bringing Home Baby Graf

***UPDATE AS OF 6/3/2020:

While Andy and Sarah were blessed to raise their original fundraising total of $45,000, they've had an exciting new development that has required them to raise a little extra funding...

On May 23, 2020, Andy and Sarah got word from their adoption agency that the birth mom they were matched with was going into labor early. Shortly after that, their beautiful boy named "Judah Hayes Graf" was born down in Louisiana. Andy and Sarah drove there as fast as they could to be with their new son. Since Judah was born 7 weeks early he will need be in the NICU through the month of June, so Andy and Sarah now need to stay in Louisiana during that whole time as they wait for him to become healthy enough to come home -- hopefully by late June or early July. The newest goal adjustment of reaching a total of $18,000 on this site reflects what they will most likely need to continue staying in Louisiana another month and to finalize their last few Home Study visits in Wisconsin once they get home.

Thank you for prayerfully considering any financial gift to help Andy and Sarah reach their new goal and bring Judah home!

ANDY & SARAH’S STORY:

After getting married and starting their lives together in 2011, Andy and Sarah Graf couldn’t have been more excited and ready to start trying to grow their family in 2015. After not getting pregnant after a year, they had numerous tests and procedures done to try to find the problem. In 2018, Sarah underwent surgery and it was discovered she had stage 4 endometriosis. As time passed by without a little one in their arms, they were left wondering if they would ever be able to become parents. Then in 2019, God opened their hearts to adoption and they stepped into a definite call and excitement of becoming adoptive parents. They finished their adoption paperwork in December of 2019, and started the "Active" phase of adoption in January, 2020. After a few months of reviewing cases and waiting to be picked, Andy and Sarah were matched with a birth mom from Louisiana. Originally believing she was pregnant with twins, they soon found out that birth mom got some incorrect information early on and was really only pregnant with one baby boy all along. After getting word that their boy was born 7 weeks early on May 23, 2020, they named him Judah Hayes Graf, and traveled immediately to Lousiana to be with him in the hospital until he is healthy enough to be released and brought back home to Wisconsin.

RAISING FUNDS:

Your generosity has been instrumental in helping them cover all of the rising costs associated with adopting a newborn baby in the United States. These costs include agency fees and applications, home study interviews, medical and personal care for the birth mother, travel and extended-stay expenses, attorney fees, adoptive parent training courses, and more.

A NOTE FROM ANDY & SARAH:

"The past five years of trying for biological children have been extremely difficult, but it's truly inspiring to think of all the people in our lives who have surrounded us with love and have been consistently praying for us. Your financial support as we continue stepping forward in faith means more than any words could express and has given us the opportunity to finally build the family we have always dreamed of. Adopting our son, Judah, would not have been possible without our faithful God and the blessing of friends and family to help us bring him home. We would be forever grateful for any amount you feel led to give in order to help us finish strong, and we ask for your continued prayer as we press on to see this dream become a reality."
