Shane's Eagle Scout Project @Edison Animal Shelter

Hello, my name is Shane Stryker, a Life Scout with Boy Scouts Troop 12 in Edison, NJ. I am a Junior at Edison High School and have been involved in scouting for 11 years. I am currently working on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and as part of  achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, I am running a community service project that will benefit our local Edison Animal Shelter.

The goal of this project is to provide the Edison Animal Shelter with a  walkway for potential adopters to more easily access the dog kennels at the rear of the building. Currently visitors walk on the grass from the main entrance to the kennels. This path will provide a more defined, durable and appealing route. It will be constructed from gravel and paver stones with metal edging.  It will also include landscaping along side the building.

These improvements will help make the shelter more welcoming to potential adopters and hopefully lead to more animals finding forever homes.

Your contributions will help me make this project a reality and allow me to give back to the community.
