I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Los Angeles American Indian Clubhouse’s Summer Camp. The Robert Sundance Summer & Winter Camps have the unique focus of working with the underserved American Indian/ Alaskan Native youth in our Los Angeles community. Our desire is to offer a safe environment for inner-city youth to reconnect and establish healthy lifestyles through a cultural perspective, while knowledge sharing, overcoming obstacles, and motivating growth and development into the future leaders of our communities.
Established in early 1990 as a means of allowing impoverished youth and families to take part in activities in a caring family focused environment where youth could focus on leadership development free from the distraction of city poverty.The camps initial group of (7) children in 1990 has grown to include (150) children from many different Native Nations.
The Camp recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary and has had a positive impact on many American Indian Families and Youth. Many of the campers have gone on to higher education, positions of leadership, and as successful members of their communties. In the culture of giving, please donate to a wonderful organization that has shown continued success at providing exceptional services for one of the largest diverse populations of Americans Indians in the country.
