Deweyville Family Flooded In Need
Donation protected
My sister, Melissa, and Aunt Brenda are trying to recover from the loss of their homes and personal belongings due to the devastating and record-breaking flooding in Deweyville, TX.
Both houses had to be ripped down to the studs because of the water damage. My niece's crib, changing table, toys, books and clothes were ruined. What the water didn't destroy, mildew set in on the rest of it. My sister and Aunt don't have flood insurance and are doing all the work themselves with the help of volunteers. That doesn't cover the cost of building materials and replacing their belongings. My husband and I are helping as much as we can but there is so much that needs to be done. I am reaching out and asking my friends, family, and colleagues to help with time, prayers and donations. Anything helps.
Please offer any amount you can comfortably give to help them get back on their feet. If you feel comfortable sharing this post with your network, please do.
Thank you so, so much for helping my family.
