Funeral Expenses for 4 Yr Old Fritz
Donation protected
Our son, Fritz, 4 1/2, passed away Jan. 16th after a battle with a rare genetic disorder called Methylmalonic Acidemia, or MMA for short, and influenza A. He had been hospitalized for several respiratory viruses since Thanksgiving, leaving him vulnerable to other illnesses. After a brave fight against the MMA that he had fought his whole life, and the trying to overcome the demands of influenza A, he passed away surrounded by a crew of medical personnel that give their all for him.
UPDATE FROM ANNIE AND PAT:
Thank you all for the kind words and generous donations. We would not have gotten through this difficult time without your support. Blessings to all.
Because MMA, and other genetic disorders like it, has no cure, and there are so many complications that come with it, including the high risk of fatality, the family was unable to get him covered by life insurance. Children with this disorder are just too high of a risk to the insurance companies, so Fritz was not approved for coverage. Fritz's parents are left not only grieving the loss of their only child, but with the burden of paying for his funeral. Any donations will be go directly to the family to help them pay for Fritz's final expenses.
No parent should have to bury their child, let alone bear the financial burden that comes with such a tragedy. Please consider donating to this deserving cause.
