My name is Brandon. I have been battling Lymphoma for 5 years. I was diagnosed in August 2020 (you can imagine the kind of trauma that came with that). Ever since then, I have been reduced to part-time work. I just don't have the same levels of energy that I used to.
This year, I have been in chemotherapy since late January, which has made working even harder. I burned up my savings and ran up my credit card trying to keep up. Thankfully, my tax return let me pay that off, so my debt load is pretty low.
Now I have been accepted into a clinical trial at Stanford Medical Center that could be a cure for my Lymphoma. This process has taken me out of work. I am lucky enough that housing is covered and I will receive some unemployment, but I will be out of work for 6 months to a year. I know I won't always have the energy to go buy groceries, and delivery adds to the already increasing cost.
With your support, I will have the extra funds needed to stay ahead of my bills until I can work again, as well as help with the increasing cost on insurance premiums in the new year so that I know I'll be able to see my doctors that I've worked with throughout my illness.
Funds will go towards bills, food, and potentially increased insurance premiums in the new year.
