Support for Mexico

Friends:
I am Charlie Kane and live in San Diego. I have very close ties to Mexico; as it is a country where my family, friends and coworkers live. A very special place to me. I am planning a support trip this coming weekend to help those in great need.
3 days ago, a country and a city that I have grown to love experienced an incredible tragedy with no time to prepare.
Mexico is an amazing country with amazing people. It is not only a place I love to visit, but México City is also a place I have the privilege to work and support a team of amazing individuals. I cannot stop following the news stories and reading about the ways people are suffering right now after the earthquake. Watching reports of baby food shortages, diaper shortages, animals roaming the streets totally lost from their owners, and even more heart breaking is people digging through rubble of apartment buildings hoping to find a loved one still alive- or at least their remains for a proper funeral.
3 days later, Main stream media in the US has run its course on the coverage as if things were okay and back to normal. Things in Mexico are not okay right now. As one of the biggest cities in the world, people are in need like never before.
Tomorrow, I am departing to spend my weekend in Mexico City. I will be bringing boxes filled with baby food and diapers and work gloves. I plan on spending my weekend finding people who need help - and helping them.
I have set up a go fund me page for anyone would like to or has the ability to donate to my support trip. Even $1 will go a long way. Donations will go towards baby food and directly to fulfill specific needs of the many I encounter who are in great need. Every dollar will be utilized for the people in Mexico. Thank you all for your help, support and consideration to a great human cause.
