Hello, I'm writing this to try and help my Niece and Nephew, Melissa and Robert Mahler. This past week, they lost their father, Jim Mahler. Jim has been battling health issues for the past several years. He had a kidney transplant that needed constant monitoring, heart complications, and suffered a Mini stroke. This past week, he passed away in his home from a heart attack at age 49. From the years of disability, the families have been helping the best they could, the Grandmother's being the main caregivers. The lack of income due to his health issues took a major toll on any finances Jim had, and his passing this week has left his children in a dire situation. My Niece Melissa is a Senior in highschool, in Easton PA. Melissa is a wonderful, intelligent, and tough cookie. She has been given the tough task all these years of trying to not only be the strong big sister, but had to keep things together for everyone in her household. She has been doing excellent in school and wants to continue on to college. My Nephew Robert a Sophomore, at North Hunterdon Highschool NJ, has found an interest in welding and wants to follow a career as an underwater welder. Both have shown an amazing strength thru years of stress, and heartache. Our Families are doing what we can but with children and life's daily bills and struggles of our own, every little bit helps.
