Tyler Bouwhuis Memorial Bench and funeral
Tyler Bouwhuis was tragically killed in a traffic accident on Saturday the 14th March 2020. He was just 20 years old and survived by his parents Greg and Michelle and his younger brother Dylan. To say he had an impact on those that knew him would be an understatement. He and his family are some of the best people I know. Tyler was kind, genuine, respectful, smart, funny.... he would go out of his way to do anything for anyone.
The huge amount of grief his family are experiencing right now is compounded with the large costs associated with both a funeral and a future memorial. The two events being necessary due to the current ban on mass gatherings.
Dylan would also very much like a memorial bench installed at Wellington Point where they used to play as children. I remember those times and I think this is a beautiful gesture. The bench and plaque have been quoted at $2750.
I know that these are uncertain times, but I ask that anyone who is in a position to donate.. let’s get Tyler and Dylan their bench.... Let’s enable this family to give Tyler a beautiful intimate funeral in the near future... And when the mass gathering ban is lifted... let’s give Tyler Bouwhuis the memorial he deserves and celebrate his life with all his friends and family.
Thank you for any contribution, big or small.
(the family have asked that those intending to give flowers, a donation to be made to Mens mental health instead)
