Syl Moroney Memorial Fund

Hi, My name is Dan Moroney, I'm Syl Moroneys brother. Syl tragically passed away Wednesday morning from complications from a heart attack.

Syl was a proud father to his daughters, proud brother, uncle and son.

What most people know of Syl is that he was a fantastic Jiu-Jitsu Professor. His 30 years of teaching impacted so many lives on and off the mat.

We have received hundreds of condolences and so many life-altering stories from many students that trained with Syl.

Sadly, covid hit us and Syl had to close his academy down 2 years ago. With the strict covid restrictions in Quebec it made it very difficult for him to stay afloat which drained his savings.

He was just about to reopen when sadly, he left us way too soon.

We are looking for support to help cover his funeral expenses. Any amount would help ease the burden on the family... especially after the loss of Syls father Ron.
