For those who don't know me, I am Monica Linares and I live in North Carolina USA. My sweet sister in law, Maria José Paris de Mejías (Chesy for us), passed away in Venezuela on November 27, exactly five days after delivering twin baby girls. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of her siblings and sisters-in-law, due to so many people willing to help during this difficult time and not knowing how. With the funds raised here, we will help provide baby supplies and help hire someone to assist the twins' dad and grandparents raise the little twin babies Chesy left behind, and if possible to open a savings account for the twins future education.
Donations will be withdrawn from GoFundMe and deposited into a new, separate US bank account that I will open under my name and that will be used only to cover the twins (Martina and Antonella)'s expenses. I will withdraw funds from that bank account to purchase items in the US such as baby formula, diapers and baby supplies that will be sent to the twins' father or grandparents in Venezuela via courier service. We expect some items (such as medicines for the babies, which cannot be shipped from the US) and services (such as hiring assistance to help the father and grandparents take care of the babies) to be able to be purchased directly in Venezuela. In those cases, funds to cover these expenses will be withdrawn from the bank account and brought personally to Venezuela by family or friends and delivered to the twins'dad or grandparents.

Five days after delivering her premature twin girls in Venezuela, our beloved Chesy (Maria José Paris de Mejias, 1990-2017), left this world unexpectedly after suffering a pulmonary thrombosis, leaving all who knew her with a big hole in their hearts.
Although devastated by grief we have had to find a way to set our grief aside and focus on taking care of the babies who at this time need us so desperately.
The amount of love and support we have received has been humbling. People that knew her and our family have asked for ways to help during this tragedy. Formula for babies in Venezuela is scarce, also diapers, medicines, etc. and soon, the twins' grandparents and their dad will need all the support they can to raise them.
While looking for ways to accept all of the generous offers we found GoFundMe. With the funds raised here, we, Chesy's siblings, will be able to help provide the supplies the babies will need during their first year of life and hopefully their future. Formula, diapers, vaccines, medicines, and especially money to pay for somebody that could be there to help take care of the twins while their dad is at work. And if possible set up a savings account for their future education.
This tragedy has shown us that love is more powerful than anything in the world. And that human kindness is necessary in times of darkness.

Mi querida cuñada María José París de Mejías (Chesy, como le decíamos por cariño) falleció en Venezuela el 27 de Noviembre, cinco días después de haber dado a luz prematuramente a sus dos bebés. Estoy creando este GoFundMe en nombre de sus hermanos y cuñadas, debido a la cantidad de gente que ha manifestado su deseo de ayudar durante esta difícil situación y no saben cómo hacerlo. Con los fondos recaudados aquí, suministraremos la leche de fórmula para las bebés, pañales y otros artículos necesarios, así como también ayudaremos a contratar a alguien que asista al padre y a los abuelos a criar a las bebecitas que quedaron sin su madre, y si es posible, abrir una cuenta de ahorros para colaborar con la educacion futura de las bebés. Aunque estamos embargados por el dolor, hemos tenido que buscar una manera de dejar a un lado nuestra tristeza y centrarnos en cuidar a las bebés que en este momento nos necesitan tanto.
Hemos recibido innumerables muestras de afecto y no tenemos suficientes palabras para agradecerlo. Las personas que la conocían a ella y a nuestra familia han preguntado cómo pueden ayudar durante esta tragedia. La fórmula para bebés en Venezuela es escasa, al igual que los pañales, medicamentos, etc. y pronto, los abuelos de las morochas y su padre necesitarán todo el apoyo que podamos darles para criarlas.
Mientras buscábamos formas de aceptar los generosos ofrecimientos que nos hicieron, encontramos GoFundMe. Con los fondos recaudados aquí, nosotros, los hermanos de Chesy, podremos ayudar a proporcionar los suministros que las bebés necesitarán durante al menos su primer año de vida y a futuro.
