TV PILOT FUNDRAISER

Today, I address you not as a mere mortal but as a relentless dreamer! 

Ever since "The Buried Life" concluded, my endeavors have revolved around facilitating the TV dreams of others. Yet, within my soul, a whisper persisted – "Film me!" I traded the sandy shores of Venice Beach for the vibrant allure of a land so special, a land so popular it has almost become a cliché. Yes, one more of your friends moved to Cleveland!

I have dived headfirst into the art of renovating historical homes here. There is one project that has completely consumed me, and it simply begs to be documented. This home is a 1910 5-bed 3-bath set to finish construction in the next 2 months. I was walking down the street when I saw the home; it looked like it was condemned, but by golly, was it beautiful. I knocked on the door and 2 elderly brothers answered. Ron and Dave were living in terrible conditions due to illness and depression and had just kind of given up. The home was quite literally falling apart around them. After many conversations with Ron, I learned what his dream living situation would be and what he would need for a great fresh start. I spent the next 4 months going on multiple home showings a week until we found his dream place. A month after we swapped keys, Ron called me to inform me that he and his brother both went to the hospital for the first time in 7 years. It was a beautiful phone call to receive. 

Now, the dream is to professionally capture and edit this transformation in the next two months. The incredible Robby Parris will helm the directorial and editing duties. To bring this vision to life, I am seeking to raise $20,000 in the week to professionally film the next two months to make the dream pitch! Drawing upon my two-decade career as a TV producer, I understand that showcasing before-and-after moments, extended scenes, and stylistically bold sequences in a Zoolander-esque way is crucial for a successful pitch. The goal is to be able to shop a full pilot to all the top networks, giving us the best chance to have it picked up!

You might be asking, "Who is that girl that is far better looking than you, Dave?" That is my wonderful girlfriend, MP, who has been helping me with this reno; she is quite clearly a superstar!
