Success has been declared, as the airfare and shipment of books has been covered with donations from diverse sources (check the list, if you will).
The project will remain open for a limited time to provide for the purchase and transport of additional books after I assess to needs of the school.
English books are surely available there but exhorbitantly-priced. Appropriate second hand books from the States are cost effective.

John has been invited to be an English tutor for a month during the fall semester at Liceul Pedagogic "Spiru Haret" (high school) in Focsani, Romania.
The school has little in the way of recreational/auxiliary English reading material for students beyond the textbooks. It is up to you to help make this happen.
