Truls Haugen’s solo release

It’s no secret that the pandemic has caused musicians around the world to suffer financially, myself included. Before all this insanity I had planned to record and release my debut solo album. I was going to finance the recordings myself. I was in a decent place when it comes to work , both musically and with a dayjob. Now all my gigs are cancelled or postponed (most of them to October but we have no idea how long this pandemic will last so I’ve been told everything is maybe cancelled for the rest of year). I have also been laid off from my day job but I do get unemployment benefits but it’s not nearly enough to do anything more than to provide for my family. 

Therefore I ask you, my loyal fans and friends for help to finish this project. 

So, I’m going to record all the instruments myself. I will record guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals at home but recording of drums and mixing are not possible to do from home. Neitheram I capable of doing a mix that will sound awesome enough to do the songs justice.  So I’m in dire need of  funds for drum recordings with an engineer, editing and mix. 

I will try to film and record as much as I can during the recordings and share as much as I can of the process. When everything is mixed and ready I will send all the songs to all the contributors before the official release. This willonly be a digital release. Maybe I could to a physical release later  on cd or vinyl. 

5 of the songs are already available as demos on my SoundCloud page. The final recordings and mix may differ a bit from those recording when I’m done, or not, who knows? Hehe
