Troy Jackson Medical expense

Hi guys, my name is Melissa Bock and I’m doing this GoFund me for Troy Jackson. Troy and his family are very close friends of our family and pretty much considered family to us. Troy’s daughter Brooke and my daughter Alexis have been close close friends for years. As some of you may know Troy has been out of work and not doing well with his health for a month. He has been battling severe respiratory issues and pneumonia. On Tuesday He went to Mother Frances Emergency room on N Broadway, where he sat for hours before being admitted. He stayed at Mother Frances emergency room on Broadway until Wednesday where they transported him to the main Mother Frances hospital BUT there is no beds. Currently there are 21 people ahead of him needing a bed. Troy is currently admitted and in an ER room. He is on continuous BIBAP as well as multiple IV antibiotics. Troy has been battling pneumonia for 2 months, and the pneumonia was not responding to the oral antibiotics so IV is the last resort. He will be in the hospital for a minimum of 3-5 weeks. He will need to be weaned off the BIPAP before they can talk about discharge and at this time we just need prayer. His oxygen levels are desatting (dropping) any time he talks or eats so they do not want him talking at all unless he has to. He is currently getting IV fluids until he can tolerate eating without having his oxygen drop. His daughter Brooke was able to see him for a very short time on Wednesday evening but that was it. At this time Troy is contagious due to the type of pneumonia he has (HE DOES NOT HAVE COVID OR PNEUMONIA ASSOCIATED WITH COVID) so he is not aloud ANY visitors at this time, and they do not want him talking on the phone. His anxiety is very high so they have him on medications to keep him calm and relax. He also has severe scar tissue to his lungs that is causing hardening of the lungs as well so this is severely compromising the healing process. At this time my husband and I currently have his daughter Brooke and will be taking care of her foe the duration of this journey until he is wel. Troy thought this was best due to her and my daughter being so close and Brooke being emotionally distraught at this time. I created this page to raise money for Troy’s medical expenses as he did not have full insurance before going into the hospital so he had a lot of out of pocket expenses for cat scans blood work (and many other tests) as well as expenses out of pocket for seeing the pulmonologist. Other expenses include all medical bills while in the hospital as well as funds he will need once he is discharged as he has a LONG road ahead of him for healing and will not be able to go to work anytime soon. At this time he has not been at his job for long so he is still unsure if he is able to get paid anything for his time off. Anyone who knows Troy knows he is a wonderful man of God who will give the shirt off his back and last dollar to anyone in need. Troy is very active in his church snd in the community. Troy works for Tyler ISD, has helped start the White House ISD soccer program/team for the Whitehouse schools, he has been a coach for many years with Tyler Soccer association, as well as being a board member and referee for Tyler Soccer. He has been my children’s coach for years. He is not just a coach he is a mentor for each child on his team, he treats them as if they are his own. Any time a family is not able to afford something for their child to play soccer, Troy fronts the cost without thinking twice snd never expects a dime back nor accepts it. He is also a photographer for the Tyler Paper and photographs a lot of there sports games and events for the FocusInOnMe part of the Tyler paper. Any money raised will go towards medical expenses and any expenses needed when he is out of the hospital as he heals as this will be a long road to recovery as well as any expenses needed for his daughter and son. Troy would never ask anyone for a dime or let anyone know he was in need, instead he would just hustle up the money needed doing side jobs. As always, first and foremost prayer is what he needs (as well as his daughter and son) at this time. I ask that if you cannot donate please just lift him snd his children in your prayers.
