Troop 707 gear lost in Tubbs fire
Donation protected
Recently Boy Scout Troop 707 lost all its troop gear, including a trailer, canoes, canoe trailer, camping stoves, dutch ovens , troop clothing and camping supplies during the recent fires that hit Sonoma County. During these fires, the scoutmaster's house burned down, as did the houses of the other people in the troop who had troop gear. Any donations would be greatly appreciated in order to help in the future of the troop.
Most of our scouts live in the Fountaingrove, Hidden Valley, and Wikiup/Larkfield areas. 5 of our families lost homes. We meet at Cardinal Newman High School and while the fires did not completely take down the school, we no longer have our normal meeting location.
Our troop is a wonderful mix of boys and their families. This past summer we went all the way to Denali, Alaska to a boy scout camp. We are looking forward to getting out together again soon. In the meantime, we are getting out in the local area to work on service projects to help our community during this trying time.
