When Typhoon Sendong devastated the cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao, Philippines on Dec 16, 2011, I called on overseas Filipinos to raise Pesos 250,000 to help the victims and their families. Generous donors from North America, Middle East, Europe and Asia responded and after only 10 short days, we beat our target and remitted Pesos 331,145.58 for water, food, medicine and other items for the victims in Cagayan de Oro. I am now targeting to raise $5,000.00 for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, easily the world's strongest and most destructive typhoon of our era.
