On 5/29/18, our friend and colleague, Trina Laster, was diagnosed with stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer. This is a very aggressive form of cancer.
Trina has been a fighter throughout this process, but she really needs our help now.
Most recently, on 10/29/18, Trina found out the 2nd round of Chemo treatments she went through failed. Her body rejected the meds, and test results now show more treatments are needed. Trina needs to see a new specialist for a new treatment, in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt hospital.
Those of you who know Trina well, know that she worked multiple jobs to support her family. Unfortunately, Trina is no longer able to do so.
This fund was created to support Trina's upcoming trips to Nashville, as well as, provide our support for loss of income. If you find it in your heart to donate, THANK YOU!
Timeline:
5/29: Diagnosed stage 3 inflammatory breast cancer
6/5: 1st day of Chemo round one
9/19: Last day of Chemo
9/27: Breast began to swell again
10/12: Emergency double mastectomy surgery
10/29: Discovered the 2nd round of Chemo failed
