Tricia Jannusch Cancer Journey
Spende geschützt
My cancer journey started seven months ago. I found out that I had leukemia. Nothing could've prepared me for that diagnosis. I have spent over three months, being hospitalized for numerous surgeries and intense chemotherapy. My life, as I knew it was uprooted and it has forced me to step away from my job and move back to Minnesota to be with my friends and family. Working as a caregiver for geriatric patients (senior citizens) for over 30 years I never imagine myself being on the other side of things and asking for people to help take care of me. Today I take a major step in my road to recovery. I will be receiving a bone marrow transplant at the University of Minnesota Masonic Hospital in Minneapolis. I will then be spending the next 30 days isolated in the transplant unit at U of M. As you can imagine the medical bills have been unimaginable and I would much rather be caring for others. It is not lost on me that so many people face similar situations. It is also not lost on me that I have many people in my corner that support me. I know that I will be relying on that support as I face the next step on the road to recovery. Your donation thoughts or prayers mean the world to me and will help encourage me as I continue this cancer journey. Although my life looks different right now , I am encouraged and have faith that I can be back to life as I knew it by Thanksgiving where I will have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you for your continued support.
Love, Tricia.
