Trica Franz's (from Twin Cities) Granddaughter

"This has been a journey we never anticipated, nor could we have been prepared for such trauma. Luna’s condition was extremely rare, Reverse PDA.  The Ductus Arteriosus Valve in her heart closed prematurely at 20 weeks and was not detected. 

But look how far our little Luna has come.  We're told she had the biggest heart they’ve ever seen in a neonate.  She’s overcome 12 medications, 2 forms of life support and a feeding tube. Now her heart is normal size.  The function of her heart continues to improve. She truly is a miracle baby. 

We cannot thank all of you enough for so quickly coming to our aid when we were so vulnerable and needed the most support, prayers and love.  No amount of thanks is enough!

Tricia became a grandmother on Friday, May 10th.  Tricia's daughter, Terin, gave birth near Sacramento via emergency c-section to Luna.  Luna was born with some serious complications that will require months of hospitalization and many treatments.  The extent of her condition is still being assessed . For Tricia and her husband, Bob, that means weekly trips to Sacramento to support Terin and Billy. There will be many unforeseen costs in the coming months.  

Tricia gives wholeheartedly and truly LOVES what she does.  She has spent close to four decades giving 100% to the children in our community, her much loved Pre-K program, and Twin Cities Children’s Center.  Always with a smile on her face, she is thoughtful, funny and selfless.

Any money raised here will be given to Tricia to help Luna.  I'm hoping we can support her now.
