Trey's Duke Experience - Crisis Camp
Spende geschützt
Greetings,
James /"Trey" was acknowledged & recommended by his Academically Intellectually Gifted (AIG) teacher for the Duke University Talent Identification Program, which is a nonprofit organization that supports academically talented students in grades four through twelve. He was chosen and is an active participant in the program
Duke Tip offers above-grade-level testing, enrichment resources, year-round learning options, residential summer programs, online courses, and original research to supplement what he receives in school.
Recently, James traveled to Raleigh, NC to take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT), which will help him reach his potential, identifies his strengths, weaknesses and allow us as his parents to know the extent of his abilities.

We recently received notification of Trey's acceptance into the Duke University TIP residential summer program CRISIS.
CRISIS lets gifted young scholars use problem-based learning to try out an exciting profession while learning academic, leadership, and teamwork skills. Each year, students join a "research team" to tackle a hypothetical community crisis. The week-long program combines this fun, engaging academic approach with supportive residential activities.

James will fill the role of an "Environmental Engineer" and he's super excited to have the opportunity to spend a full week on the campus of Duke University, staying in the dorms, receiving the whole University experience while surrounded by his academic and intellectual peers.
There is a substantial cost associated with this opportunity, and we ask if you're able to donate, please do, to assist with overcoming the financial barriers of the residential summer program.
Remember my little man is only 10, we are so proud of him! His love for learning and the ability to tackle a good challenge merely is top-notch. He's destined for "Greatness", help us get him there!
Thank You
Stormy
