Trevor Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Trevor was diagnosed at age 1 1/2 with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood, a progressive neurological disorder. There are only 1,000 kids world wide with this disease. He has 25-30 episodes a month of hemiplegia attacks as well as diagnosis of seizures 6 years ago.

His seizures are very severe and he goes into complete respiratory arrest with each one. He carries a medical bag at all times with him with bag valve mask, meds and O2 sat monitor.

On March 3th another seizure episode occurred, Trevor had a grand mal seizure and went into respiratory arrest on the afternoon at his home in Sitka. He was on a ventilator, after having sever prolonged seizures and continuous respiratory arrest!!!!  He was transferred to Providence in Anchorage on med flight late that night.

Although he has medicaid for kids his last trip to the Providence Children Hospital in Anchorage was not completely covered and now his parents are responsible for some medical expenses and their flight back to Sitka, Alaska.

This disease will progress until the seizures cannot be stopped. Trevor was only thought to be able to live until 3 or 4 years old but turned 14 yesterday (March 13, 2013) !!!

Please help us raise money for his ongoing medical treatment, medical bills and medvac's to Anchorage (which are not cheap!).
