Make a difference in Marion with a tree planting along Battle Creek Drive!
Please help us raise money to purchase street trees along Battle Creek Drive; located in a recently developed neighborhood in Marion, Iowa.
Driven by significant neighborhood interest in the spring of 2019, the Marion Tree Board has endorsed the project, with the City of Marion providing an in-kind donation of labor and equipment to plant the trees. The city's arborist is also helping manage the project to ensure a beautiful mature canopy for the neighborhood.
Approximately 35 trees are needed to complete the street with each tree costing $100. Our goal is to raise $3500 by the end of September to in order to have a neighborhood planting event in late October.
Trees Forever, based in Marion is facilitating this Go Fund Me site. Your entire donation is tax-deductible and every dollar will go toward the purchase of trees for this project.
In addition, Trees Forever's Growing Futures Teammates will help plant the trees.
