Travel to Peter Hoffmann’s Funeral

Hi American Hoffmans! 

Father Peter Hoffmann recently passed away in Germany.  What’s the relation? Peter’s grandfather John was brothers with Michael Hoffman. Father Peter had a local parish in Germany but visited the United States many times to attend reunions. Many of us are very close to the family in Germany. 

We know that we are all wondering what to do to honor Father Peter and his life; his American family meant a great deal to him.  My brother, Louis has agreed to go to Germany to represent all of us and to take his daughter Mary, the next generation.  The problem, of course, is money on such short notice for tickets.

What about a huge family bonding and shared contribution?  If you agree, I have set up this GoFundMe site for Louis and Mary. We are so hoping that this will work out for the German Hoffmanns to know just how much we are thinking of them and care. 

Funeral arrangements are taking place now. Manuela Hoffmann will keep us posted. We will try to let everyone know what is happening through Facebook on the reunion page and here on Go Fund Me. Thank you for your time.
