Help a Trans Dad Get Custody

We are asking for help in raising money to cover legal fees in a potentially contentious legal battle regarding the custody of Tristan's three children.

Tristan is an amazing father, friend, partner, and ally. He puts the needs of his children above all else. He spends time, energy, and money to make sure he shows up for them in a consistent, positive, and stable way. He is the father I know that I and many others wish we had growing up. He is a queer, trans dad who has been separated from his children and is moving across the country to be with them; however, these plans are being thwarted due to a custody battle his ex-wife is pursuing.

We are asking for your help in providing for the burdensome cost that comes with retaining legal representation. This legal battle has the potential to cost over hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the nature of the case. We are hoping to raise $100,000 to cover any and all legal costs-including, but not limited to, retaining a family lawyer who specializes in working with queer families regarding child custody, which can cost up to $40,000 alone; ongoing legal costs and fees; evaluation fees, moving costs and fees; necessary travel costs; etc. in the unlikely case that there is money leftover after the court proceedings, it will be used to settle the children into their new home with their father.
