Trajana’s breast cancer treatment and recovery

Hi. My name is Ari, and I am raising funds to help my dear friend Trajana as she prepares for breast cancer surgery. Trajana is one of the kindest, sweetest, most giving people I know. She sees the best in everyone, and it’s impossible not to become friends with her after a 5-minute interaction.

 

Trajana was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, identified after a routine mammogram. The cancer was caught early, and her prognosis is excellent. She will, however, need a bilateral mastectomy, and possibly additional surgeries in the future.

 

Trajana is self-employed and has an insurance plan with a large deductible and out of pocket maximum. She will need medical and post-op care items that are not covered by insurance. Trajana is currently unsure how much time she will need to be off work (she is determined to return as quickly as possible), but any sick time will be unpaid. Initial research suggests she may need to be off for 3-6 weeks after the initial surgery, with additional time off if there are subsequent surgeries.

 

We will update the goal amount for this fundraiser when we know more about exact surgical costs, etc. However, it is likely that Trajana will need at least this much raised in order to cover her medical costs, care needs and daily expenses while off work for recovery.
