Town and Gown 10K fundraiser for Brain Tumour support!

I am running my first ever 10k at the Oxford Town and Gown race on the 12th May 2024 to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity. The Brain Tumour Charity is the leader in its field, funding world-class research, providing support and information and raising awareness of brain tumours.

My Uncle was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, and it suddenly and very drastically affected his health. Alongside funding research, the BTC provides support such as therapy to those living with the cancer and to family members/carers. This means that any donations will have an immediate impact on those that need help, especially as there is currently a longer than normal waiting list for their therapy services.

Anyone that has ever seen me run knows I am a slow runner. Running is not my favourite thing in the world and before I started training for this 10k, I had never run more than a 5k. The 10k will be a real challenge! My goal is to finish in under 1h15mins, and if you're a running nerd give me a shout with any tips or to add me on Strava!
