Tournament House needs your help “Support your local Gem”
Founded in 1979 Tournament House Gym is an independently owned and operated gym. We have been in business for 41 years and are committed to providing professional and friendly service to Riverside City, County and neighboring areas. “A place for people, not just bodies.” This is our motto and is what we as a business try to portray in the community.
We are located in the heart of Riverside and are one of the last independently owned gyms in the Inland Empire that is still in operation. This gym is a special place and it is difficult to put into words what it means to our members to be part of this unique family. It is a combination and mix of people like no other. Young, mature, and seniors of all ethnicities working out together under one roof.
Running a small business, (Tournament House) in normal times can be a challenge. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit it has basically crushed our capacity to operate our business. As of March 16th, when the Riverside County Health Department ordered us closed, we have struggled to keep Tournament House afloat. We cannot generate any revenue because we can’t and won’t bill our customers in Good Faith, knowing that others are struggling during these crazy times. I can’t tell you how many members have contacted us during this crisis wanting to pay dues no matter what. Their concern and hope are they want Tournament House Gym to still be here when the reopening process occurs.
Tournament House has missed over two months of billing customers and is in danger of missing a third month due to California opening later than other states. Billing revenue is the lifeline to staying open and that is still the question that nobody can answer. Some members suggested doing “Go Fund Me” and so here we are. As of now, we don’t have an exact opening date because Governor Newsom has ordered gyms as part of the phase 3 opening and who knows when that will be.
Tournament House appreciates any support you could give to help keep our family gym operating until we can be together and open for our members. Thank you for your generosity!
