Tortola Hurricane Irma Relief Fund
Donation protected
When Hurricane Irma ripped through the Carribean, it destroyed the island of Tortola, home to the most beautiful people you will ever meet, many of them I'm lucky enough to call my friends and family. They are devastated, homeless, and in need. As an island, they are dependent on all supplies (food, medicine, building supplies, gas) to come to them by boat. Unlike Houston, most people are unaware of their plight, and they will be unable to rebuild without out help.
The lesson learned from Harvey and Houston is that people are so giving, and many sent supplies generously. However, not all supplies sent were necessary, so that storage became an issue. Sending money may not seem personal, but for now, that's what is needed. Please help if you can.
My name is Boyd Hancock. I live in Newburyport, MA and my father's home is on Tortola. I am raising funds to help the rebuilding effort on Tortola, specifically the Cane Garden Bay area where our friends have homes and businesses. My plan is to use the funds to get supplies to those who need it.
