Hi, my name is Tonya, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved brother, Tony.

A few days ago, our lives were turned upside down. While attending his best friend’s grandmother’s funeral, Tony suffered heart failure. On the way to the hospital, his heart stopped, and he coded. By God’s grace and the quick actions of the medics who performed CPR, they were able to bring him back. I can’t even put into words the relief and gratitude we feel that he is still here with us.

Right now, Tony is in the ICU. He’s on dialysis and will need a defibrillator to help keep his heart in a normal rhythm. His recovery journey is just beginning, and it’s going to be a long one.

Unfortunately, Tony is also facing a tough financial battle. He’s out of work while he heals, and our family is struggling to cover the medical expenses that insurance won’t pay for, along with his everyday living expenses.

If you know Tony, you know his heart—he’s always been the one to show up for others, to lend a hand, to give without expecting anything in return. Now, he’s the one who needs help.
