Tony Sancho's Legal Fund

Donation protected
People have been coming from all over the world to work or perform at OSF for decades. Our beloved company members are dear to us. The entire community benefits from their work and artistry. Tony Sancho is a cherished member of our Company.

You may be aware of the recent release of video footage depicting the brutal and inhumane way Tony Sancho was treated while he was being held in the Jackson County Jail last year. Many of you don’t know the next day, Tony was released an hour before he performed in the play “Mother Road.” He chose to perform despite the trauma he had experienced only hours before.

Tony Sancho has filed a complaint against the Jackson County Jail and Sheriff's department. He and his family have been covering the costs of this case on their own. In surviving the COVID-19 crisis, including the shuttering of the entire Nonprofit and Broadway theater industries, one can only imagine the burden they are carrying.

Please join Diane Yu, Nataki Garrett, David Schmitz and Paul Christy in support of Tony and his family by donating to this fund to help offset the cost of expenses and fees connected to his legal complaint.
