Tom McCoy living and medical expenses

Hi guys my name is Sheri, I’m asking for some help for our life long friends Tom and Karla McCoy. I’ll try my best to give a short version of a long chain of events! In normal Tom fashion (since he is our go to guy ready to help anyone of us at a moments notice) Tom headed out on a flight to Texas to help his family with some things with what he thought was a pulled muscle from a day or two before, when he arrived not feeling well he took a couple days to rest, felt a little better and did the work he had came to do. Still feeling down he headed for home driving a vehicle to bring back to another family member. He felt worse by the day and at one point was in excruciating pain, he somehow saw the “H” sign and was able to follow it to a hospital 10 hours from home. Shortly after his arrival he was rushed to emergency surgery for a very infected burst appendix. Karla got there as quickly as she could and has been with him non stop. Tom has a long road of healing ahead of him, we still are not sure when he will be out of ICU or released from the hospital. Our friends need our help to make ends meet Tom retired a short time ago and has no medical insurance Karla will need to be off work at least until she can get him home! We truly appreciate your help. I will also be working on putting together a fund raiser locally.
