TOGETHER Toy Drive

16 years ago, it was the first Christmas without Peter, beloved daddy of our three kids and my soulmate, who had lost his battle with cancer earlier that year. It was a very difficult time for us in many aspects but one person made a huge difference for us that Christmas, a teacher, Mr. Phillips from my youngest child's elementary school (you see them here in a picture together). My youngest was just in Kindergarten at that time. So Mr. Phillips started a Toy Drive and fundraiser for us at the school and I still want to cry just thinking about it when the principal called me into her office the week before Winter break and lead me into a room where they had set up toys and gave me an envelope with money. I had no idea! The kindness, thoughtfulness, big heart and true caring of so many was overwhelming and it has stayed with me all this time. So I've been trying to pay it forward as much as possible in how I live my life, helping others whenever possible, sometimes we have adopted a family through the family partnership center for Christmas to put a smile on their face and ease worry a little. This year with the pandemic, I know that many families are really struggling. It has been such a difficult year for so many, especially also for a lot of kids.

So I would like to do more this year and invite my friends and anybody who knows me and my kids, to join in on my "TOGETHER Toy Drive" - I would love to help more than just one family this year!! So if you can give a little or more, it would mean so much.
