Together for Nelson

Nelson suffered a life-threatening accident that left him with five broken vertebrae, six broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and nerve damage. His journey for survival has already taken him through multiple hospitals and emergency transports—first admitted to Alpena Hospital, then medevaced to Midland Hospital, and ultimately flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s in Saginaw, where he remains under intensive care.

Nelson has undergone surgery and stabilization procedures and will soon transfer to a physical rehabilitation center to begin the long road to recovery. Doctors anticipate that his healing will be extensive, and he may be unable to work for up to two years as his body recovers from the trauma and surgeries.

The financial burden of this recovery is immense. Between medical bills, ongoing rehabilitation, and basic living and housing expenses, Nelson is facing challenges no one should have to face alone. That’s why we are asking for your help.
