Beirut urgently needs your help in providing medical relief to its people. The increasingly rapid spread of COVID-19 following the explosion that occurred on the 4th of August 2020 has left many families deprived of food, water and shelter. Beirut currently suffers from a lack of essential and life-saving amenities such as oxygen tanks and hospital beds. We call on you to aid us in providing relief to the overcrowded medical system and the families that have been affected by this virus.
Shaabemasouleyati (My People, My Responsibility) is a Lebanese initiative based in Lebanon that aims at supporting families in need and the Lebanese community directly affected by the critical economic downturn following the revolution and COVID-19 through multiple fundraising campaigns. We have raised over 35,000$ following the explosion of August 4th, which has gone to providing on the field, direct support and basic necessities to those in need. Due to the fact that GoFundMe could not be set up in Lebanon, all funds will be withdrawn in Canada and transferred to our team in Lebanon where they will be used to pay for oxygen tanks, medical supplies and hygiene/cleaning materials.
Funds are needed urgently in order to continue our mission in providing support to Lebanon. Proofs of wire transactions will be regularly posted on this page.
