Todd's Campaign to Support Refugee's Medical Needs
As most of you who follow this link already know, I have been working with Annunciation House since December to facilitate medical assistance for the many asylum seekers who are crossing into the El Paso border region.
In January, I partnered with a group of local healthcare providers and faculty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to increases our reach and effectiveness. As I am clearly not a medical professional, I have provided logistical support.
In the next two weeks, with the help of United Way, our hope of opening up volunteering to a larger community of medical providers will become a reality. We have almost 80 local medical professionals whom have committed to donating their time, so I am making sure each of the sites are equipped to best serve our temporary guests.
The help I am requesting will go for:
3 Scales
1 Blood Pressure Monitor
5 Otoscopes
4 Glucometers
5 Pen Lights
4 Pulse Oximeters
These items will be used to provide a professional quality of care to the guests of the hospitality centers. Any funds donated above the 400$ I need, with be donated directly to Annunciation House to help cover the cost of prescription medication.
